Builder: How can I adjust my notification preferences?

You have the ability to adjust which notifications you'd like to receive and how.

You have the ability to enable what specific notification you want to receive, and how you wish to receive those notifications once you are assigned to a task.

You can also turn your Notifications on and off at any time using TradeTrax.

It is simple and easy to configure your notifications specific to your role within your company and responsible scope of work.

What is the benefit of Notification Preferences?

Notification Preferences allow you to select how and when you want to be notified when various events occur within TradeTrax. You can select specific notifications that are catered directly to your duties within your Builder Company.

How are Notifications sent from TradeTrax?

There are two communication channels you can receive notifications from:

  1. Email Notification - An option of communication from TradeTrax via Email

  2. Push Notification - An option of communication from TradeTrax via Mobile Application and Desktop Alerts

How to access My Notification Preferences

Web Portal:

  1. Click on My Profile

  2. Select Notifications

Mobile App:

  1. Tap More at the bottom right-hand of the screen

  2. Select Profile

  3. Under Settings, tap Notifications

How to Configure My Notification Preferences

The following events listed below are all the possible notifications you are able to receive once you are assigned to a Task within TradeTrax.

  1. Toggle the Push or Email switch for each notification to Enable the notification for each task you are assigned to.

You can edit these notifications at any time within TradeTrax on the Web Portal or Mobile.

  1. Update Request from Trades - A notification will be sent to you when a Trade sends a proposed date change.

  2. Start Date Confirmations - A notification will be sent when a Start Date Confirmation is accepted by a Trade.

  3. Denied Commitment Requests from Trades - A notification will be sent when a Commitment Request is Delcined from a Trade.

  4. Task not ready to start from Installer - Aa notification will be sent when the lead Installer arrives to a Job and is unable to perform their assigned task which is also known as a dry-run.

    1. The moment an Installer marks a task ‘Not Ready to Start’ due to the prior trade still working on their tasks or unable to work on their task, an immediate notification will be released.

    2. Some scenarios may include: the prior Trade not completing their task, not having the material needed, or any weather delays.

  5. Start-Finish Date Change - Any Task that you are assigned that has a date change within x amount # of days. You will be sent a notification for Schedule Update (Default: 7-day window, but can be adjusted)

    1. Example: If your task is scheduled 31 days from now but then the date moves to 30 days, it may or may not have much of a scheduled impact. However, if your task moves from 8 days to 5 days, this information could be much more relevant and may impact your Trade more directly. This is when a “Schedule Date Change” notification will be sent

  6. New task assigned to me - A notification will be sent when you are assigned to a new task

    1. TradeTrax will bulk Email notifications per hour for New Task Assignment notifications.

    2. Push notifications will be individually sent per task assignment.

  7. Overdue tasks - A notification will be sent when a task misses its Start or Finish date.

  8. Missed Check-In - A notification will be sent by the configured time frame window if the Installer has not ‘Checked- in’ to their responsible task. The default is 2 pm but can be adjusted.

    1. If an installer is not checked in by the configured time, you will get a notification about this and may want to contact the Installer.

  9. Notes / Attachments added to Task - A notification will be sent when a note or attachment is uploaded to your assigned task.

  10. Tagged in Notes - A notification will be sent when your Profile Name is mentioned in the notes section in any task within TradeTrax

What are ‘Other Relevant Task’ Notifications?

You can search, add or delete Relevant Tasks that you wish to monitor closely. This may include a new Trade on the job site, Tasks for Homeowner updates, and other tasks for your role you wish to have more insight on.

How to access ‘Other Relevant Task’ Notifications

Web Portal:

  1. Click on My Profile

  2. Select Notifications

  3. Under My Tasks select Other Relevant Tasks

Mobile App:

  1. Tap More at the bottom right-hand of the screen

  2. Select Profile

  3. Under Settings, tap Notifications

  4. Scroll down to Other Relevant Tasks and select Set Relevant Tasks

How can I add Relevant Task Notifications?

  1. Click on Global Task Library

  2. Search Task that you wish to receive updates on

  3. Select Task once the task name appears

  4. Click Add Task

  5. Now Select from the following Relevant Task Notification options:

    1. Only Completed updates - A notification will be sent when a Relevant Task is marked complete

    2. Only In Progress updates - A notification will be sent when a Relevant Task is marked In Progress

    3. Only Check-in/Out status updates - A notification will be sent when Relevant Task has a ‘Checked-in’ status

    4. Confirmed Commitment Request - A notification will be sent when the Relevant task has confirmed its start date

    5. Start-Finish Date Changes - A notification will be sent if the task's start or finish date moves within the configured window (if enabled, the default setting is 7 - days but is adjustable)

  6. Last, select Push Or Email for the notification delivery method on each Relevant Task.

NOTE: In order to receive the Relevant task notifications configured, you must be assigned to a Task within a Job.

How can I Delete a Relevant Task Notification?

You can delete Relevant Tasks at any time within TradeTrax, you no longer wish to receive updates on.

  1. Identify the task you wish to Delete from your Relevant Tasks section

  2. Click on the Trash Icon

  3. Once you select the Trash Icon, a second window will appear to confirm this action.

  4. Select Yes to Remove Task

  5. After confirming Yes, Remove Task you will see a confirmation banner at the bottom left-hand of your screen, and you will no longer receive those notifications.

What are Lead Time Notifications?

Lead Time Notifications allow you to receive updates on tasks before their scheduled start date.

You can search, add or delete Tasks that you wish to be notified about before they start. The default setting when adding a Lead Time Notification will be a 7-day window. This can be helpful for you if you are purchasing materials or scheduling upcoming tasks.

How to access Lead Time Notifications?

Web Portal:

  1. Click on My Profile

  2. Select Notifications

  3. Under Other Relevant Tasks select Lead Time

Mobile App:

  1. Tap More at the bottom right-hand of the screen

  2. Select Profile

  3. Under Settings, tap Notifications

  4. Scroll down to Other Relevant Tasks and select Set Lead Time

How can I add Lead Time Notifications?

  1. Click on Global Task Library

  2. Search Task that you wish to receive updates on

  3. Select Task once the task name pops up

  4. Click Add Task

  5. Now Configure the number of days you wish to be notified before the task's start date

  6. Last, select Push Or Email for the notification delivery method for Task’s Lead Time.

How can I Delete a Lead Time Notification?

You can delete a Lead Time notification at any time within TradeTrax, that you no longer wish to receive updates on.

  1. Identify the task you wish to Delete from your Relevant Tasks section
